Ben Guerir

Ben Guérir (Arabic: ابن جرير ) is the capital of the province Rehamna in the west of Morocco.

Location

Ben Guérir lies at an altitude of about 450 m above sea level. inst 140 km ( driving distance ) east of Safi and 70 km north of Marrakech. The coastal city of Casablanca is located about 170 km to the north.

Demographics

The majority of the population engaged in agriculture and as small traders, taxi drivers, etc. make is Berber descent. Leading positions in business, commerce, administration, and banking, health and education are in the hands of the Arab -born population minority. Among themselves Moroccan Arabic is mostly spoken.

Economy

History
