Bengie Molina (actually Benjamin José Molina, born July 20, 1974 in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico ) is a Puerto Rican baseball player in Major League Baseball. He is currently a free agent.

Career

Molina was taken in 1993 by the then California Angels as a free agent contract and played for the first time in 1998 for the Angels in the MLB. From 2000 to 2005 he was the regular catcher the Angels. With them he won the 2002 World Series against the San Francisco Giants.

After the expiration of his contract with the Angels Molina signed after the 2005 season, a one-year contract for 5 million U.S. dollars at the Toronto Blue Jays. A year later he became a free agent and joined the San Francisco Giants a three - year contract for 16 million dollars. In January 2010, he extended his contract for another year.
