Benito Stefanelli

Benito Stefanelli ( born September 2, 1929 in Rome, † December 1999) was an Italian actor and stuntman.

Life

Stefanelli began his film career as an extra in the epic film Ulysses with Kirk Douglas in the title role. From the early 1960s he also worked as a stuntman and armorer. Under the stage name Benny Reeves, he starred in the spaghetti western trilogy A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and Bad and the Ugly. Due to his good knowledge of English, he is said to have acted as a translator between Clint Eastwood and director Sergio Leone. In the 1970s, he also played in Leone My Name is Nobody movies with Terence Hill. In the 1980s he worked as a stunt coordinator reinforced, among other things, Once upon a time in America (1984) and Cobra Verde ( 1987). His last film as an actor and stunt coordinator was a master of horror from the year 1991.
