Bent Høie

Bent Høie ( born May 4, 1971 in Randa mountain ) is a Norwegian politician of the conservative party Høyre (H).

Life

After school Høie studied law at the University of Bergen and 1991-1993 Hotel Management at the Norwegian School of Hotel Management. Furthermore, Høie began to engage in politics and became a member of the party Høyre. He was elected to the City Council of Stavanger. Since 2001 he has been a deputy in the Storting, elected in Rogaland. In 2013 he headed the Program Committee of the Conservatives, who developed the choice program for the legislature 2013/17. Høie is married with Dag Terje Solvang.

Since 16 October 2013, is the Norwegian Minister of Health in the Government Solberg.
