Benyamin Sueb

Benyamin Sueb ( born March 5, 1939 in Jakarta, † September 5, 1995 ) was an Indonesian actor, film director and singer. He has produced 75 albums and 53 films.

Life

Benyamin Sueb was born in Jakartaer district Kemayoran. His parents are Suaeb and Aisyah. He worked not only as a singer, comedian, actor and film producer, but was also the main director of the Jiung Movies Company. He went from 1946 to 1951 at the Bendungan Jago Elementary School in Jakarta and from 1951 to 1952 at the Santo Yosef Bandung Elementary School. In 1955 he graduated from the Taman Madya Cikini Junior High School, 1958, the Taman Siswa Senior High School. The study at the Akademi Bank Jakarta he did not complete. He attended courses at the 1960 Lembaga Pembinaan Perusahaan & Ketatalaksanaan, made ​​in 1960 in Kodam V Jaya its military military service from 1964 and attended courses in Lembaga Negara Administrasi.

With a voice between baritone and bass he sang usually in Betawi.

In the Indonesian Film Festival, he received the Citra Award for Best Actor in the films Intan Berduri (1972) and Si Doel Anak Modern ( 1976). Sueb was also a producer and director of 27 films.

He made ​​a pilgrimage to Mecca for Hajj fifteen times.

Benyamin died after he had a few days in a coma. He is buried in Karet bivouac, Jakarta.
