Liman
The Beresan - Liman (Ukrainian Березанський лиман ) is a Liman in the southern Ukrainian oblast Mykolaiv and forms the mouth of the 49 km long coastal river Beresan in the Black Sea.
A Spit separating from a 400 m wide passage near the village Rybakiwka ( Rybakiwka ) [note 1] apart, the Liman from the north coast of the Black Sea.
The Liman has a length of 20-26 km and covers an area of 60 km ². Its width is between 0.6 km and 4 km and averages about 2.3 km. It has an average depth of 3.3 m and a maximum depth of about 15 m. The water volume of the Liman is 0.2 km ³. In addition to the Beresan yet and the 45 km Sassyk flows (Ukrainian Сасик ). [Note 2] in the Liman.
On the west bank of the Beresan - Liman the town Ochakiv and the Liman is located upstream in the Black Sea, the island Beresan.
