Berga

Berga is a Catalan city in the province of Barcelona, in northeastern Spain. It is located in the comarca of Berguedà.

Berga is located about 80 kilometers north of Barcelona.

Worth seeing

• Carrer Major, the church of Sant Joan ( 12th to 14th century )
• Passeig de la Pau, remains of the castle
• Romanesque church of Sant Pere from the 12th century

Culture

The most famous and largest traditional folk festival is La Patum, which takes place every year around the holiday of Corpus Christi. It belongs since 2005 to the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO.
