Beringstedt
Beringstedt is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein.
Geography and transport
Beringstedt is located about 30 km west of Neumünster and about 30 km east of Heath in a wooded, rural area. The place is the train station served by the Northern Railway railway line Neumünster Heath.
History
Geological evidence finds that the municipality has been inhabited since the Stone Age. The place belongs to the Holstein Urdörfern.

Of the nine seats in the municipal council, the CDU has been the local elections in May 2013 four seats, the voter community KWG three and voters Community AWG two seats.

Economy
The municipal area is predominantly agricultural, but there are also commercial businesses, housing estates and tourism. Commuters work primarily in Itzehoe, Neumünster and Rendsburg.
