Berke Dam

The Berke Dam is a dam with a 201 -meter-high arch dam in southern Turkey near Adana and Kahramanmaras, which dammed the river Ceyhan for the purpose of energy production. The hydroelectric power plant in a cavern has a rated output of 510 MW and annual production of 1672 GWh.

The dam has been particularly strengthened with reinforced concrete and two " earthquake belts' against earthquakes. It is the highest arch dam in Turkey, was built from 1991 to 2001 and commissioned in 2002. At the planning, among other Coyne & Bellier was involved.
