Berna Carrasco

Bernadette Carrasco Araya ( born December 19, 1914 in San Bernardo, † July 7, 2013 ) was a Chilean chess player.

Carrasco took third place behind world champion Vera Menchik and Sonja Graf in the World Chess Championship for women in 1939. In 1978, she was International Women's Champion (WIM).

She was the only female participant in the 1966 Chess Olympiad in Havana. Your team Chile is number one ranked 38th overall, and the tenth of fourteen courses in the final group C. They even reached zero points from four games on the first reserve board.
