Bernard d'Armagnac, Count of Pardiac

Bernard d' Armagnac (* 1400, † 1462 ) was Count of Pardiac, Viscount of Carlat and Viscount of Murat, and by his marriage Duke of Nemours, Count of La Marche and Castres. He was the son of Constable Bernard VII of Armagnac, Count of Pardiac, and Bonne de Berry, and thus as a grandson of Jean de Valois, duc de Berry, the other a brother of Charles de Valois, duc d' Orléans.

On June 18, 1429, he fought for King Charles VII at the Battle of Patay. This made ​​him to lieutenant general in 1441 for La Marche and governor of Limousin, and in 1461 to lieutenant general of Languedoc and the Roussillon.

1429 he married Eleonore de Bourbon ( * 1412, † after 1464 ), Countess of La Marche and Duchess of Nemours, the heiress of Jacques II de Bourbon and Béatrice d' Évreux. Their children were Jacques ( * 1433, † 1477 executed ) and Jean, Abbé d' Aurillac.
