Bernard Kipyego

Bernard Kiprop Kipyego (born 16 July 1986) is a Kenyan long-distance runner.

In 2005 he won the junior race of the IAAF World Cross Country Championships silver and bronze in 2007 in the adult race.

With his victory at the Berlin Half Marathon 2009 with the world -class time of 59:34 minutes he succeeded in one of the best debuts of the half marathon of all time. At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin, he was fifth in the 10,000 -meter run. As a fourth of the Rotterdam Half Marathon shortly after he improved his personal record to 59:10 min. In 2010 he made ​​his debut at the marathon distance and finished the Rotterdam Marathon in 2:07:01 hours to fifth place. In the same year he was second at the Lille Half Marathon 2011, he won after a second place at the RAK Half Marathon the Paris Marathon.
