Bernardo Hernández Villaseñor

Bernardo Hernández ( born August 20, 1942 in Mexico City), also known by the nickname Manolete, is a former Mexican football player at the position of the striker.

Born in the district of Tepito " Manolete " Hernández went through the junior sections of his home club Atlante already from the age of seven. In 1961 he made ​​his professional debut for the Potros in a city derby against Club América.

With a total of 71 goals, which he scored for Atlante 1961-1973 in the Mexican Primera División, is " Manolete " the fifth- highest scorer in the history of Atlante in 1943/44, imported Mexican professional league. His best season was 1967/68 when he was top scorer of the Mexican League with 19 goals.

National

Between January 5, 1967, when he came to his first international match against Switzerland (3-0 ) and the August 27, 1968, his last international match against Chile ( 3-1 ), Hernández completed a total of 12 games for the Mexican national football team, in which he scored two goals ( 3-0 against Colombia on January 30, 1968 and a 1-1 draw with the Soviet Union on March 7, 1968) achieved.
