Bert Doorn

Bert Doorn ( born May 26, 1949 in Enschede) is a Dutch politician of the party Christian Democratisch Appèl.

From 1968 to 1974 Bert Doorn graduated in law in Groningen, Nancy and Freiburg. It works from 1976 to 1978 on his PhD in Competition Law in Freiburg. This was followed from 1978 to 1992 employment as a secretary for international affairs from 1992 to 1997 as Secretary of Economic Law at the Confederation of Netherlands Industry ( VNO). From 1997 to 1999 he was with the Dutch Christian Employers ( VNO -NCW ) as a business lawyer and worked in various occupations.

Since 1999 he is a member of the European Parliament and member of the Group of the European People's Party for the Netherlands. There he sits in the Legal Affairs Committee and is a member of the Delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations ( ASEAN).
