Bert I. Gordon

Life

Gordon began as a nine -year-old amateur recordings on 16- mm film. After his education at the University of Wisconsin -Madison, he worked as a producer of television commercials. From the mid- 1950s he turned science fiction and horror B-movies in which he usually took over several functions. In addition to directing and producing, he often wrote the screenplay and was responsible for the special effects, which mostly consisted of simple back-projections. No other director is represented with 3000 more movies in the resulting between 1988 and 1999 comedy television series Mystery Science Theater, which makes fun of B-movies.

When Saturn Award Ceremony 2011 Gordon was awarded the Life Career Award.

Gordon is married. He occupied his daughter, the actress Susan Gordon, in several of his films.
