Berti is an extinct language and belongs to the Saharan languages.
It was spoken in western Sudan in the Tagabo Mountains of North Darfur and Kordofan in. The people of the Berti had adopted at the beginning of the 20th century completely the local dialect of the Arabic language. Old people were understandable to 1960, a few words of Berti language.
