Bertolt Flick

Bertolt Martin Flick ( born 1964 in Germany ) is a German entrepreneur.

Flick has a degree in law at the University of Heidelberg. In 1995 he became a member of the supervisory board of the Latvian airline airBaltic, and 1999 Chairman of the Board. From 2002 to 2011 he was president and sole managing director (CEO) of the company. January 30, 2009 Flicks company Baltic Aviation Systems bought 47.2% of airBaltic shares of Scandinavian Airlines. The successful restructuring and expansion of the airline was awarded the title Airline of the Year 2009/10 ( from the European Regions Airline Association (ERA ) ), and appreciated the Phoenix Award 2010 (Air Transport World magazine). 2011 became Air Baltic in financial difficulties. Flick had 4 October 2011 following a protracted dispute with the second owner of the company, the Latvian government to resign.

On 21 February 2012, Flick managing director of charter airline XL Airways Germany until its bankruptcy in February 2013.
