Berylliumazid is an inorganic chemical compound of beryllium from the group of azides.
Production and representation
Berylliumazid can be obtained under -116 ° C by reaction of Berylliumdimethyl with hydrazoic acid at temperatures.
Alternatively it may be obtained by reacting with trimethylsilyl beryllium.
Properties
Berylliumazid is a colorless solid that fizzles out when lighting. He is not sensitive to impact, weathered moist air in a short time. In aqueous solution, a hydrolytic decomposition takes place.
