Besian Idrizaj

Besian Idrizaj ( born October 12, 1987 in Baden, Lower Austria, † 15 May, 2010 Linz, Upper Austria ) was an Austrian football player with Kosovar roots. The midfielder played for Swansea City in the Football League Championship, the second- highest division in English football.

Association

Idrizaj moved in 2002 from SK Admira Linz to LASK Linz. When LASK he made his debut as a 16- year-old in the first team and was voted Austria's young player of the season 2004/ 05. In the Under-17 European Championship in France in 2004 he was discovered in the match against England by scouts of Liverpool FC and engaged in the summer of 2005 by the English giants. In March 2007, he was awarded until season's end to Luton Town for there to be able to play matches. For the season 2007/ 08 was followed by another lending, this time with second division side Crystal Palace. On 31 January 2008 Idrizaj was loaned to FC Wacker Innsbruck. In the game against Sturm Graz on 20 February 2008, he collapsed without external influence on the field and was unconscious for some time. Since we were unable to find out what had caused this collapse, he got training ban. This meant that Idrizaj in Innsbruck only 2 games played with 71 minutes of playing time during his time. His contract with Innsbruck was not extended to the end of the season. In November 2008 he was invited by his former club LASK Linz for a trial, where he collapsed again in this context. The reason for this one right heart strain was detected.

From May 2009 he played in the German Oberliga side FC Eilenburg and played there on 3 May 2009 his first game.

In August 2009 he signed a contract again in Britain at Swansea City. Previously, he had been, among other things at RB Leipzig in the conversation.

Besian Idrizaj died on the night of May 15, 2010 of a heart attack. Swansea City decided subsequently not to forgive his shirt number 40.

National

Besian Idrizaj was Austria's national team for the youth teams U17, U19 and U21. Austria U20 National team boss Paul Gludovatz told him by being too harsh and selfish style of play, which is why he was not nominated for the Junior World Cup in 2007 in Canada.
