Bessemer is a city in Gogebic County in the U.S. state of Michigan, United States, with 2148 inhabitants ( 2000). The city is also the county seat ds Gogebic County and is situated in a very snowy due to the influence of Lake Superior area.

Geography

The City is surrounded by the Bessemer Township, but is politically independent of this. It is located further east on U.S. Highway 2 between Ironwood and Wakefield in the West.
