Bettencourt affair

Under the name Bettencourt affair, a political scandal in France is known. The focus is on the accusation of illegal party donations of the richest woman in France, Liliane Bettencourt, to politicians from the ruling UMP party, especially on the incumbent President Nicolas Sarkozy and Labor Minister Eric Woerth.

The affair was made public on 16 June 2010 by publishing a notice in Media Part for the first time. My family was a dispute between Liliane and her daughter Francoise Bettencourt- Meyers to reason, in the course of which it came to the suspicion of tax evasion and illegal party financing.

History

Family dispute

Françoise Bettencourt- Meyers sued in 2008 the confidant of her mother, the photographer François -Marie Banier, for fraudulently obtaining of gifts valued at one billion euros. Financial affair
