Bettinus (crater)

Bettinus is an impact crater in the southern lunar front side, southeast of the crater Zucchius and north of Kircher. The rim is only slightly eroded, the inner slopes are terraced, the interior is largely flat and has a central mountain on.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Italian Jesuit astronomer and mathematician Mario Bettini.
