Beuthener SuSV 09

Bytom 09, eigtl Beuthener Game and Sports Club Association in 1909, also called Beuthener SuSV 09, was a German football club from the Upper Silesian Bytom.

History

The club was founded on 15 June 1909 as SV Britannia Bytom. Around 1911 it was renamed the SuSV Bytom 09

1914, 1920, 1921, 1923, 1925 and 1929, the Association of Upper Silesia champion. Bytom won in 1930, 1931, 1932 and 1933, the Championship of East Germany and moved with it into the final round of the German Cup.

1923 even Real Madrid was defeated in a friendly match 2-1.

In the German Cup in 1930, they lost in the second round with 2:3 against Hertha BSC at the post stadium in Berlin.

1931 and 1932 qualified for a re failed, however, in each case in the second round, first in 1931 at the Hamburger SV (0:2) and 1932 at the Chemnitz PSV (1:5).

Only in 1933 was finally survived the second round, which was mainly attributable to the luck of the draw. Thus came with the SV Prussia - Samland Konigsberg clearly weaker opponent to the Heinitzgrube, which was then also clearly defeated 7-1. In the quarterfinals, it got the White - Yellow with TSV 1860 Munich do. Here it was clearly overwhelmed and lost significantly with 0:3.

Two more times could Bytom qualify for the finals, but failed both 1934 and 1937 already in the group stage.

1941 09 Bytom was co-founder of Gauliga Upper Silesia. In the season 1943/44, Beuthener could no longer keep the playful level, growing from last.

From Bytom was after the Second World War in 1945 the Polish Bytom Bytom why was dissolved 09. Instead, founded in Bytom with Polonia Bytom Bytom and Szombierki new football clubs, however, that no successor of Bytom 09 showed.

Due to the merger of Max Bavaria Bytom and Gorny Slask Bytom Bytom, the club was founded 09 on 26 March 2009, which uses the historical emblems of the dissolved German club.
