Beyond the Beyond (manga)

Futaba ( highest ) Strange Trip (Japaneseその向こうの向こう側, Sono Muko no Mukogawa, dt "Those other side opposite ") is a manga by the Japanese illustrator Yoshitomo Watanabe from the years 2004 to 2008. The work was in several languages translated and comprises over 1000 pages.

Action

The sixth graders Futaba Kudo is quite small for his age and has three siblings. One day on his way home a girl named Kiara falls from the sky, which calls him her master. When she notices that he is not her master and a mysterious woman attacks them, Kiara and Futaba flees with her. As Kiara Futubas throws cell phone in the river, a portal and they both get into the world, comes from the Kiara opens.

Now Futaba Kiara wants to help find their master, and back into his world. On their journey they meet the hare -like magician Belbel which follows them. Futaba learns that Kiara is a " Amaranthine ", a being with great powers that can only be used by her master. Later they meet the prince Virid Visette Viridian, who was exiled from his older brother and has to find a Amaranthine. After a fight, he joins the group.

Publication

The manga was published from March 2004 to February 2008 in the manga magazine Comic Blade of the publisher Mag Garden. The individual chapters later appeared in six tankōbon. In a small support the anthologies DCs and other extras were included.

The work was published in the U.S. by Tokyopop and in Singapore by Chuang Yi. A German version of the first six volumes published from January 2006 at Tokyopop. The translation is by Nadine Stutterheim.
