Bhajji
Bhajji (and often Onion Bhajji ) is a spicy Indian snack consisting of fried onions, similar Kartoffelfritter, for which there are nearly a thousand different recipes. It is commonly used as a surface for various Indian dishes, but is now universally used as the only snack. The basic recipe consists of finely chopped onions dipped in a special batter with rice, chickpea flour, spices and sometimes herbs and then fried golden. Traditionally they are made with a mild taste.
Onion Bhajjis there are often as activator before Indian main meal, along with poppadoms and other Indian snacks.
They are served with a lettuce leaf and a slice of lemon or mango chutney Best.
