Białuty, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship

Białuty [b ʲ awutɨ ] ( German: Bialutten ) is a town in the municipality Ilowo - Osada in Poland. It is located 15 km east of the city Działdowo ( Soldau ) and belongs to the powiat Działdowski, Warmian -Masurian on.

History

The village was first mentioned in documents in 1470. Already in pre-Reformation time there was a church here. After the Reformation, the church changed hands several times between the Protestant and Catholic churches, but ultimately remained Catholic. Only in 1905 was built by the lords of the manor of Bialutten, Alfred Ferdinand Oehlrich, mineral oil producer from Riga / Baku, also a Protestant church. To the parish of the Protestant Church were also Dwiersznia, Krokau, Grabowo, Napierken and Wollaston. The village structure was characterized by the manor and its outworks Eichberg and Prusken. Postcards from the period before the Second World War show next to the " castle " ( manor ), the Protestant and Catholic church and the "guest house Aug. Sawetzki ". Manor, evangelical church and the burial place Oehlrich have now expired.

With Article 28 of the Treaty of Versailles the manor district fell to the resurgent standene Poland.

In January 1945 the place was captured by Soviet troops.
