Bible Adventures

Bible Adventures is a Christian oriented Jump ' n' Run video game collection video game company Wisdom Tree which was first published in 1991 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. In 1995, a re-release for the Sega Mega Drive. The game is loosely based on three stories from the Bible.

Game content

The game consists of three parts, which are based on stories from the Old Testament.

Noah's Ark

In the episode of Noah Ark Noah must collect every species within four levels each one male and one female animal and bring to the ark. Noah's health can be reduced by snakes in the trees. Finding Noah, however, a Bible verse or a game tip, his health will be refilled.

Baby Moses

Miriam Moses sister wants to save her brother Moses in the murder by soldiers of the Pharaoh. For this reason, she brings her brother to the Nile to suspend him in a wicker basket and so to save them from certain death. However, it is expected of the soldiers who try to throw Moses into the Nile. If Mirjam without her brother get to your destination, the player gets to read the following text " Good work, but you forgot Baby Moses " and he must again play through.

This part of the game is similar to the game Super Mario Bros. 2, is carried around in the vegetable by Mario in a similar way as Moses.

David and Goliath

In David and Goliath, the player takes the role of David, who tries to bring his lost sheep home in the barn. The concept of this part is actually based on the first part of the game. However, the player is given the opportunity to face armed with a slingshot Goliath and defeat him by this section.

Background information

The game used for the title screen of the melody Jesu, Joy of Johann Sebastian Bach. The game reached the 19th place in the ranking Crapstravaganza Sean Baby: The 20 Worst Games of All Time, which was published in the magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly and on the Internet. Also, the game from the Angry Video Game Nerd was presented in his Christmas special Bible Games. The game was later implemented for the PC.
