Biblical archaeology

The Biblical Archaeology (also Biblical Archaeology or Archaeology of Palestine ) operates the archaeological exploration of Israel and Palestine. She is an independent archaeological discipline and closely linked to the Near Eastern Archaeology.

In contrast to Christian archeology biblical archeology deals with the epochs Neolithic, Chalcolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age, while the Christian Archaeology deals with the material remains of the first Christians.

Tasks of Biblical Archaeology

Your responsibilities are to look at the places in Israel and Palestine, which have been handed down in the Old Testament, for example. The issue today in this discipline no longer about proving remarks about places and landscapes in the Bible, but to paint a neutral picture as possible of the region in ancient times.
