Bicălatu, Cluj
Bicălatu (Hungarian Magyarbikal, German book village ) is a small village in Transylvania in Romania. It belongs to the city Huedin and is located in the Apuseni Mountains ( part of the Romanian Western Carpathians ). The village is situated in a hollow north-east of Huedin. The road to the neighboring staras is no longer passable for vehicles.
Population
Bicălatu / Magyarbikal is inhabited by members of the Hungarian minority and has about 400 inhabitants. Through emigration, especially of the younger generation, the population has been greatly reduced in recent years.
