History and Description

The Bielenstein tunnel was built under the 1872-1875 scale Erzstufenbahn with 465.7 m in length. During construction of the resin sheet, from 1885, the tunnel profile was expanded and built the Braunesumpf station. Because one for the construction of an overhead line would have the tunnel profile in the electrification of Rübelandbahn ( 1960-1965 ) must increase and there was the tunnel in a bad state of construction, it was abandoned and filled in later. Southeast of the old tunnel a realignment of the railway line was laid out in a parallel to the B 27 extending incision site.
