Bieuzy

Bieuzy (formerly Bieuzy -des- Eaux, Breton: Bizhui -An- Dour ) is a commune with 755 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region. It belongs to the Local Government Association, Pays de Baud.

Geography

Bieuzy located in the southern part of central Brittany and part of the Pays de Pontivy.

Neighboring municipalities are Guern in the north, Le Sourn in the northeast, Pluméliau the east and southeast and Melrand the southwest and west.

Through the community of the D1 Guémené -sur -Scorff leads to Locminé. The river Blavet forms the border to the municipality Pluméliau.

Demographics

History

The municipality belongs to the historic region of Brittany Bro - Gwened (French Vannetais ) and within this region to region Bro Baod (French Pays de Baud) and shares his story. From 1793 to 1801 Bieuzy belonged to the Canton Melrand. Since then, the place is assigned to the Canton baud. 1869, the municipality reduced by the formation of the town of Le Sourn.
