Biff Rose

Paul Conrad " Biff " Rose (* October 15, 1937 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is an American stand-up comedian and singer-songwriter.

The most popular song of Biff Rose, which he co-wrote with Paul Williams, Fill Your Heart is. In addition Roses own admission on his first album The Thorn in Mrs. Roses Side ( 1968) the song was the B- side of the single Tiptoe through the Tulips by Tiny Tim ( also 1968). Far better known is the piece but in the version of David Bowie on his album Hunky Dory by 1971.

Another song, the Rose and Williams wrote together, is Ill Walk Away, taken by Rose for his third album, Biff Rose ( 1970).

Other songs by Biff Rose were re-recorded by Pat Boone ( Whats Gnawing at Me on the album Departure of 1969) and John Denver ( Molly on the album Take Me to Tomorrow by 1970).

After the release of his debut album The Thorn in Mrs. Roses Side, which contained the hit Buzz Fuzz the, Rose had 1968-1970 a total of 12 appearances on Johnny Carson's The Tonight Show. In addition, he was a guest on other television shows. He made the announcements ( MC) at the Atlantic City Pop Festival in 1969 and the Atlanta International Pop Festival of 1970.
