BiFi (snack)

BiFi was until 2014 a trademark of the Unilever Group. As of March 2014, it heard as the sister brand Peperami the U.S. company Jack Link's.

Originally designated BiFi only the first product of the current range of products, a mini- salami snack. Meanwhile, there are 15 different variations of this product. The name BiFi is a derivative of the English adjective " beefy " ( fleshy ).

History

The BiFi brand was founded in 1972. First and initially only product was the classic BiFi, a mini salami. BiFi has a brand awareness of 95 percent. Today 15 products are sold under the brand name BiFi.

BiFi is also available in Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and the United Kingdom (under the name Peperami ).

In February 2014 Unilever sold the sausage brands BiFi and Peperami to Jack Link's, the process will be completed in March.

Manufacturer

Although the BiFi brand is marketed under the umbrella of Unilever in Hamburg, the production is still held by the company in the Bavarian Creates Ansbach. After 1989 Creates meat works were incorporated into the Union of German food Werke GmbH, BiFi was henceforth incorporated into the range of Unilever.
