Bifröst

Bifrost ( Bifrost an., fluctuating sky street '), Bilröst, Beberast or Asbru ( an. Asbru, Asenbrücke ') is in Norse mythology, the three-rayed rainbow bridge between Midgard and Asgard, and thus the connection between the " kingdom of heaven " and " earth world ". The Asenbrücke is the first of all bridges, according to the Grímnismál ( verse 44) and is guarded by the Aesir god Heimdall. The Aesir are using them to get from Asgard to Midgard and to their daily meeting on Urdbrunnen.

In the Snorra Edda also says that on the bridge, a red fire burning to keep the Hrimthursen ( frost giants ), and mountain giants of their crossing ( Gylfaginning, 15).

During the doomsday Ragnarök Bifrost will be destroyed when crossing through the Muspellsöhne of these: " But as powerful as it is, it will still break if Muspels sons come to ride it." ( Gylfaginning, 13).

After Bifrost, the security system was named Bitfrost the 100 dollar laptop.
