History

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was founded in 1989 in Ventura, California by frontman Scotty Morris. The band's name came about after the Morris blues guitar legend Albert Collins met at one of his concerts:

Morris and Kurt Sodergren are the two founders of the band. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy have focused on the swing of the 1940s and 1950s and played in clubs and lounges in their early years these.

Early career: 1989-1996
