Bill Berry

William Thomas Berry ( born July 31, 1958 in Duluth, Minnesota) was a founding member and drummer for 17 years, the American alternative rock band REM

Bill Berry learned the later REM bassist Mike Mills in 1972 at the High School in Macon (Georgia ) know. After her graduation, the two moved to Athens (Georgia ) to study there. In 1980 she met Michael Stipe and Peter Buck, with whom they the band REM founded.

1995 Berry broke during a concert on the stage because of a cerebral hemorrhage due to ruptured aneurysm one together. He left R.E.M. in 1997 for personal reasons. 1999, 2003, 2005 and 2007 Berry played again with some appearances by REM with.

Berry also played along with his bandmates Buck and Mills and Warren Zevon 1984-1987 in Blue Rock project Hindu Love Gods.
