Bill Holland

William " Bill" Holland ( born December 13, 1907 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; † 20 MAY 1984 Tucson, Arizona, USA) was an American race car driver.

Career

Holland started 1938-1954 with numerous Champ Car race. He won 20 victories and 16 other podiums. In 1947 he was second in the national championship.

After two second places at the 500 Miles of Indianapolis in 1947 and 1948, he celebrated his biggest success on 30 May 1949, when he won the race.
