Bill Mlkvy

Bill Mlkvy ( born January 19, 1931 in Palmerton, Pennsylvania ) is a former American professional basketball player for the Philadelphia Warriors in the National Basketball Association.

Because of his unusual last name and his membership in the "Owl " of the Temple Owls basketball team at Temple University was the nickname of the 1.95 m wide winger " The Owl without a Vowel " ( the owl without a vowel).

Mlkvy was at Temple University in Philadelphia is an outstanding college player, the 1949-1952 records began in points scored and gripped rebounds. He once scored 73 points in a game, which was NCAA college record at the time, and had a season in which he scored 29.2 points per game and was voted into the All-American team of top U.S. college player. In addition to basketball, the known as " The Owl without a Vowel " Players could also form the dentist. In 1971 he was admitted for his services in the Temple University Hall of Fame.

Mlkvy was drafted in 1952 by the domestic Philadelphia Warriors as a " local player " ( territorial pick ). At home in Newtown, Pennsylvania Mlkvy worked as a dentist and then founded " Billing Solutions Inc.", a company that specializes in the financial statements in the dental industry. He now has three branches.

Mlkvy is married to Barbara and lives in Newtown, Pennsylvania.
