Bill Reichenbach Jr.

William Frank " Bill" Reichenbach Jr. ( born November 20, 1949 in Takoma Park in Washington, DC ) is an American jazz and studio musician. He mainly plays bass trombone, tenor trombone but also, and sometimes euphonium and tuba. He also came as a film composer in appearance.

Life and work

Reichenbach, the son of drummer Bill Reichenbach Sr., played in his youth in his father's band with Milt Jackson, Zoot Sims and others. After college, he studied music at the Eastman School of Music, and then play the 1972 Buddy Rich. Then he moved to Los Angeles where he worked in the studios for films and commercials and appeared in numerous television shows. 1976 and 1977, he also belonged to the Toshiko Akiyoshi / Lew Tabackin Big Band. He is also on recordings by Don Menza (1979 ), Tom Scott (1983 ) and Michael Jackson ( Off the Wall, Thriller and HIStory - Past, Present and Future Book I ) to hear and went on tour with Jaco Pastorius ( Invitation ). In 1984 he published with his own quartet, a solo album, Special Edition. He also composed music for Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue.
