Billy Burnette

Billy Burnette ( born May 8, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee; Complete name William Beau Burnette III) is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter. He has also worked as an actor.

Career

Burnettes family moved in the late 1950s to Los Angeles, where his father and his uncle worked as a songwriter for Ricky Nelson. At the age of seven he took under the name Billy Beau on his first single. With eleven followed by a full length album, and two years later he toured with Brenda Lee.

After his graduation in 1969, he initially returned to Memphis. In 1971 he went to Nashville and accompanied Roger Miller as a guitarist. In 1972 he signed a recording contract and released an album with Entrance Records, but this achieved no great success. In 1979 he moved to Polydor Records. It was his second album on Polydor contained with " What's A Little Love Between Friends " a minor hit. The following year he moved to Columbia Records. The single " Do not Say No " from his published therein album reached # 68 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1981 was followed by another solo album with Columbia.

Burnette met Mick Fleetwood know and joined his band The Zoo. About Fleetwood he also met other members of Fleetwood Mac know and worked in a row with Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks. In 1985, he joined again the record company. The next solo album Try Me contained the eponymous single, which peaked at # 68. The second single " Is not It Just Like Love" reached # 51 The single of the same to his published next year album " Soldier Of Love" came in at number 54

In 1987 he wrote and produced for the comeback album Mystery Girl by Roy Orbison, on which he was also involved as a guitarist. As the guitarist Lindsey Buckingham left Fleetwood Mac in the same year, Burnette was at the instigation of Mick Fleetwood member of Fleetwood Mac. Published in 1992, Burnette be now eighth solo album and had with " Nothin ' To Do ( And All Night To Do It) " another single in the charts. After Fleetwood Mac 1995 artistic break men casting, Burnette published in 1997 along with Bekka Bramlett, a country music album, but the duo broke up back in it again. 1999 and 2000 was followed by two solo albums. Between 2005 and 2010, Burnette was a member of the touring band of John Fogerty.

Between 1994 and 1998 Burnette also worked as an actor in several feature films, including The Addams Family and the dear relatives and attack from the dark. Among the artists who have recorded pieces of Burnette, are located next to Roy Orbison and Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Everly Brothers, Gregg Allman, Loretta Lynn and Ringo Starr.
