Billy Drago
Billy Drago ( born September 18, 1949 in Hugoton, Kansas; civil Billy Eugene Burrows ) is an American actor.
Life
Drago was born in 1949 as William Eugene Burrows in Hugoton, Kansas, the son of William and Gladys Burrows. As a stage name he chose the name Drago, the maiden name of his grandmother, to avoid confusion with another actor named Burrows. Dragos ethnic roots go back to immigrant Roma and American Indian Apaches.
After high school, Drago initially worked as a stuntman in Dodge City and then attended the University of Kansas. After college, he worked as a radio presenter before acting groups in Canada and New York City joined.
Drago was married from 1980 until her death in 2012 with the actress Silvana Gallardo. Dragos son Darren E. Burrows ( b. 1966 ) is also an actor.
Career
Billy Drago began his acting career in 1979 in the miniseries The long trek and films such as Cutter's Way - No Mercy and No Other Love.
