Billy Gonsalves

Adelino William " Billy" Gonsalves ( born August 10, 1908 in Portsmouth, USA, † July 17, 1977 in Kearny, USA ) was an American football player.

Gonsalves, who until 1952 was active for many teams at club level from 1926, was a member of the national soccer team of the United States and took part in both their first World Cup in Uruguay in 1930 and at the same tournament in Italy in 1934. There, the striker came to a total of four inserts. Between 1930 and 1934 he completed six caps for the U.S., in which he had a personal score. Gonsalves was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame.
