Billy Lee Evans

Billy Lee Evans ( born November 10, 1941 in Tifton, Tift County, Georgia ) is an American politician. Between 1977 and 1983 he represented the state of Georgia in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Billy Evans attended the public schools of his home and studied until 1963 at the University of Georgia in Athens. After a subsequent law degree from the same university and its made ​​in 1965 admitted to the bar he began in Macon to work in his new profession. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Democratic Party launched a political career.

Between 1969 and 1976 he sat as an MP in the House of Representatives of Georgia. In the congressional elections of 1976 he was in the eighth constituency of Georgia in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, DC chosen, where he became the successor of WS Stuckey on January 3, 1977.
