Billy Weber
William " Billy" Weber ( * in Los Angeles, California) is an American editor and film director.
Life
Weber worked three times for the U.S. filmmaker Terrence Malick. So he cut in the '70s Badlands - Sever dreams and In Days of Heaven, which was his first project in which he was independently responsible for the cut. In his final cut for The Thin Red Line, he worked with several other editors on the film. Four Avid were used here, usually there are one or at most two, to cut the amount of footage to 170 minutes. As a reward for this work in 1999 jumped an Oscar nomination for the best cut out. With The Tree of Life published in 2011 a fourth joint project.
Josh and s.r.a. 1993 is the first and only film in which Weber directed.
