Bindalsfjorden

Tosen in Brønnøy

The Bindalsfjord is a fjord in the municipalities and Sømna Bindal in Nordland in Norway. The fjord extends 17 km to the northeast and then southeast to the island Øksninga. In Øksninga the fjord divides into two branches, Tosenfjord (Norwegian roar ) and Bosvik. The Tosenfjord leads to the northeast, while the Sörfjord leads to the southwest. From Solstad to roar it 66 km.

The mouth of the fjord lies between Holm in the south and in the north Vennesund. Between these two places there is a ferry part of the coastal road Rv17 ( N17 ). In the peninsula Gavlen halfway into the fjord in the Ursfjord branches off to the north. Just to the east lies the island of Gavlen Hovøya and in this the Hardangsfjord begins. Southeast of Gavlen kind and attentive service the islands Stavøya and Imøya. East of this is the Skotnesfjord.

In Øskinga the Reppsund (Norwegian Reppsundet ) branches off to the north side of the island and leads to the mouth of the Tosenfjords. On the southwest side of the Øksninga Terråkfjord is [note 1], while the Øyfjord is located on the southeast side between the mouth of Tosenfjords and Sørfjorden.

The Regional Road 6 (Norwegian Fylkesvei 6) leads along the west bank of the Fjrods. There is also the hamlet Skjelsviksjøen.
