Binlah Sonkalagiri

Binlah Sonkalagiri ( Thai: บิน หลา สัน กาลา คีรี, Binla Sankalakhiri, pseudonym of Wuthichat Choomsanit, Thai: วุฒิ ชาติ ชุ่ม สนิท; * 1965) is a Thai writer. For his work Chao Ngin (princess ), he won the 2005 prestigious SEA Write Award.

After finishing school at the Mahavajiravudh - Songkhla School in Songkhla province, he studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, but he broke off his studies to become the editor of Pai Yai Yarn. He also worked as a reporter for the daily newspaper Matichon and Khao Sod. Since 1994 Binlah freelance writer and currently resides in the province of Chiang Mai.

Binlah both published under the pen name as well as under his real name of short stories, children's books, short stories and travelogues.
