Binnie Barnes

Binnie Barnes ( born March 25, 1903 in London, † July 27, 1998 in Beverly Hills; native Gittel Enoyce Barnes ) was a British actress.

Life

She applied after they first worked in other occupations, responding to an advertisement in Berlin for the dance troupe of the Tiller Girls, it brought but only up to the choir singer. Then she began a dancing career in London and appeared in revues. In the play, Little Tommy Tucker, she received her first major role.

Her film career began in 1929 with some short sound films, she took her first major role in 1931 Love Lies. She became known in 1933 as Catherine Howard in the historical film The Private Life of Henry VIII, another starring role followed in 1934 in The Private Life of Don Juan. Now went to Hollywood, where she apart from a few leading roles often played the girlfriend of the actual heroine.

Barnes retired since the 1950s gradually from the film business and spent her life in Los Angeles with activities in the social and charitable sector. She was in her second marriage to actor Mike Frankovich (1910-1992) married. Your dedicated a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
