Birahim Diop

Birahim Diop (born 7 February 1979 in Thies ) is a Senegalese football player who last played in 2012 in Major League Soccer Sporting Kansas City.

Career

Birahim Diop began his career in 1999 in the Senegalese club U.S. Rail, where he played for one year. In 2000 he moved to the top club ASC Jeanne d' Arc, with whom he was 2001 champion in the season. After this title, he moved to the United States on the New York MetroStars. After he was actually intended for the reserve team, he completed under coach Octavio Zambrano four games in the first team. In 2003 he moved to Deportivo Pereira to Colombia, where he played until 2005. In January 2006, he succeeded his old coach of the MetroStars to CS Tiligul - Tiras Tiraspol. By 2008, graduated twenty games in which he scored three goals. On 17 March 2010, he returned to the United States and signed a contract with the Kansas City Wizards.
