Birgit Schütz

Birgit contactor ( born October 8, 1958 in Brandenburg an der Havel ) is a former rower from the GDR. She won Olympic gold in 1980 in the eighth.

Birgit contactor coached at the SG Dynamo Potsdam under Henry Mederow. After runner-up titles in 1977, she won the East German championship in 1978, both in four and in the eighth. At the World Championships in 1978 in Hamilton, New Zealand, the GDR eight competed in the occupation of Silvia Arndt, Renate New, Dagmar Bauer, Gabriele Kuhn, Petra Köhler, Henrietta Ebert, Birgit contactor, Christiane Koepke and control Ms. Marina Wilke and took second place behind the aft of the Soviet Union.
