Birkir Ãvar Guðmundsson
Birkir Ívar Guðmundsson ( born 14 September 1976 in Vestmannaeyjar ) is a handball goalkeeper from Iceland.
The 1.92 meter tall and 93 kilogram goalkeeper stands at Haukar Hafnarfjörður under contract. He previously played for TuS Nettelstedt - Luebbecke.
For the Icelandic national team he played until December 140 matches, scoring a goal; he stood in the extended squad for the World Cup 2011.
He is married to Kristín Ólafsdóttir and has two daughters.
